Toronto

Toronto offers an unparalleled variety of culture to its city and surroundings. You will find beautiful architecture in the city centre built by the city’s settlers, but alongside these you will also be amazed with the modern and sleek skyscrapers.

Also celebrating over 1,000 festivals every year, if you are an adventurer looking for the unexpected, you will definitely find all you need in Toronto.

The city has many sites for you to explore and enjoy; they have a marvellous bounty of theatres, museums, theme parks, art galleries, attractions and markets catering for all. Art galleries range from Contemporary Art at the Roalyn Cheery-Soleil Crescendo Gallery, to impressive Antique specialists. There is the Markham Museum & Historic Village which has exhibits of horse-drawn vehicles, railway cars and pioneer homes, all helping cover the 25 acre site. Another site to visit is the CN Tower, located in downtown Toronto, it is the World’s tallest building standing at 553 metres; near to the top of the tower is where you can stand on a 24 sq. metre glass floor to allow you to see the streets and traffic life below. Toronto boasts a fantastic nightlife with an impressive list of diversions for night time which will keep you going till the sun comes up. The line of restaurants includes 24 hour eateries, Chinese, fine dining, live music, seafood, tapas and many, many more. You’ll also want to check out the Broadway-style musicals that are on offer, that help give the city a world-class name for the quality of productions and talent and to be known as the undisputed entertainment capital of Canada.

Niagra Falls, just outside Toronto

Be sure to make a trip to the famous Niagara Falls near Toronto, not a site that you would want to miss being so close. Toronto isn’t big with attractions; however it does have a range of summer festivals, markets, and the music that pours out from all angles of the city will surely entice you to wanting more. Toronto evolved from a lakeside settlement, growing so quickly from its roots; it can be a striking scene to see with a random mix of the run-down town to the vast, modern city.

One of the best places to see in the city in Downtown Toronto is the CN Tower, where you can take in the scenery of the land in such a large dose. Being Canada’s business capital and largest city, it is refreshing to see that the streets are clean and safe and people have a lot less stresses to worry about. To the west of Toronto is the Gallery of Ontario, and to the northwest is typically a quaint English-influenced area around Queen’s Park, incorporating the Ontario Parliament building, the University of Toronto and the Royal Ontario Museum. Also in the city is a key attraction of two Victorian mansions – grandiose Casa Loma and genteel Spadina House. Another attraction to see is the Old Fort York and the redevelopment Harborfront, which offers a selection of shops, the Power Plant Gallery of modern art, and the jetty from which ferries make trips to the Toronto Islands.
